Vegan Shoes

Every garment and accessory in Stella McCartney’s store is cruelty free, even the shoes!

Founded in 2009, NOAH offers fashionable, high-quality vegan shoes produced in limited numbers in Italy by small companies that guarantee fair working conditions.

Olsen Haus, and Moo Shoes have a variety of gorgeous shoes as well as Vegan Chic who also make men and children’s vegan footware.

Bourgiouse Boheme have a range of shoes made out of  Piñatex™ leather (made out of pineapple leaves) which is a natural and sustainable non-woven textile using by-products of the pineapple harvest. This means it  requires no extra land, water, fertilizers or pesticides to produce. Piñatex™ resembles textured leather and is soft but strong, light, breathable and comfortable.

There is now a big market in recycling shoes and repurposing them to decrease waste and lower the environmental damage; these shoes can be found on websites like Eco Vegan Shoes, Avesu and Beyond Skin.

Dr Martin‘s recently came out with some Vegan shoes, as did John Fleuvog!

It’s always a huge thrill to see fashion, and consumers stepping in the right drection, to spare the animals and the environment. I’m the owner of Duckie shoes, the only retail store in Montreal, Quebec that sells vegan shoes. I carry brands such as Neuaura, Cri de Coeur, Novacas and Vegetarian Shoes. My line is expanding all the time, so if you’re in Montreal, come and see me at 176 Bernard, between Esplanade and Waverley. The tel.# is 514-273-3933.

I was just going to say there’s Duckie Shoes right here in Montreal, but I see I’ve been beaten to it.

And that Natalie Portman. Smart, gorgeous AND good? Is that fair?
