Coffee And Cinnamon Face and Body Scrub

I love face and body scrubs so much!

Your skin feels instantly softer and smoother after using them and any moisturizers or toners you use after are so much more effective when applied after exfoliation.

Using a face and body scrub not only makes your skin look and feels great to the touch but it also improves circulation,  tightens it,  clears dirt and dead skin cells, boosting cell regeneration.

Coffee is a great ingredient for scrubs because its coarse particles work as an excellent exfoliating agent, it smells delicious, and is pretty easy to come by.

And in case that wasn’t enough, some studies have  found that coffee grounds have a protective effect on the skin,  preventing wrinkles and fine lines and has potent antioxidant properties that can help protect the skin from sun damage.

If you don’t make coffee at home,  coffee shops have an abundance of coffee grounds and some of them are willing to give them away.

Cinnamon is a warming spice that has many health benefits, including increased blood flow, and its anti-fungal, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties can help reduce and prevent acne and skin blemishes.

I’ve been working hard lately, to stop using commercial products that often contain toxic chemicals, and to start using more low-zero waste products at home, so I’ve been experimenting quite a bit with homemade products.

Honestly, this recipe is not only less harmful to your health and environment, but I actually like it a lot more than any of the commercial scrubs that I have bought.
